Ugh, Santana is just so gross. Nothing worthwhile in his music.
This tune is OK, but so old, and so overrated, and overplayed.
Ugh.

But that's the beauty of RP. When you hear the songs that you've heard played 1000 times before they're in between songs you've only heard a few times, so you can listen to them with fresh ears. At least I do.

I was thinking the same thing. I have told several friends about RP and not a one of them has been anything short of addicted, like me. RP is 'brilliant programing' to say the least. Even the old standards sound renewed.

I signed up to support them last night. I have never done anything like that before. I feel good about it.

You do? Where do you keep it? Does the world want it back?

I honestly think he's tone deaf. His bends are typically about 10 cents flat, this song is the worst example. He's a great technical guitarist in the "Carlos Santana" genre but damn, his failure to get there on the bends is so painful if you're cursed with excellent relative pitch.

Listening to John Fogerty sing is the same.

I actually prefer this one by Fleetwood Mac.

Is it true that Carlos Santana started to learn guitar on his own - in the age of 5? I heard some rumours of this kind... - and wouldn't be too surprised if it were true! Doubtlessly, a rock genius!

I used to have arguments with people all the time about Peter Green writing this...even dj's...and finally found the cd in a small music store in ca......it's fun to play for people...they just don't believe it.....FM's version is so great...definitely a 15.

Anyone who says they don't like this because it's so commercially overplayed and that Carlos built a career off the same sound is overly concerned with musicians not making it big and thinks they should be starving artists....it's re-god-damn-diculous! This tune is amazing!!

important album at the time, i guess. the sound has now become totally cliche.
we continue to hear santana on the radio over the years and he is a grammy regular because of his tight relationship with the old hack, clive davis.
