Good blues will never get old, and this is classic, back-to-basics blues. People will still be drowning their sorrows to blues like this in a century's time, though they might not know what a "dime" was ;-). 7 from the Nottingham jury.

This is one of those songs that won a lot of critical acclaim, but never really got much attention...  great song... and yeah, it has a sweet cameo from Duane Allman...

Holy carp.  This from the same guy who brought us "Lido Shuffle"?

This is great.  That was not.

Wow! I thought that Les Dudek was the guitar player on that song, from very vague memories of it, but when I was listening to it again after all these years (and thanks very much Bill for playing it), it did not sound like Les Dudek's style.  Apparently, Les Dudek was the guitar player on Silk Degrees and he did work with the Allman Brothers as well.  Shows what I know.  You learn something new every day on Radio Paradise!

Boz is one hell of a musician who continues to progress musically (check out 2005's Fade Into Light- they love him in Japan)  I have seen him in concert 3 times and each time he brings a new, tight band and blows me away - a good trip for me would be to travel to wherever he is playing annually - he did japan this summer. keep it up RP

If Boz Scaggs had never recorded one other piece, his reputation would be solid on the basis of this alone. In fact, it's as if he never did record anything else.

I have to disagree. I think the entire "My Time" album is superb, particularly "Dinah Flo."

Um, BOZ! This came out in 1969, after he was with the Steve Miller Band. 1969 was the year ZZ first formed.

Saw Boz open for the Allman Brothers in 1973 in Phoenix. Never heard of him before. Someone Loan Me a Dime just blew me away. One of my all time favorites.
