I absolutely love and admire Richard Thompson's ready-aim-fire approach to music. He's so fearless and funny and heartbreakingly-talented.  I don't think I've ever heard a song of his that didn't move me on some level.

Awesome musician, doing it purely for the love of music! If you don't "get it", then I urge you to try more of his music. But ultimately I couldn't care, I'm just happy I have some of his music in my collection! And you don't!

Richard Thompson is one of the best performers i've ever seen. An AMAZING guitarist, and showmanship...yes, he's very funny. Love him

Of course if you really want to like him better see him perform. Every time I have seen him I come away thinking that was the best show ever. Listening to his music you have no idea the man is so funny.
