"The secret source of humor is not joy, but sorrow. There is no humor in heaven." - S. Clemens

I think there will lots of laughter in the pit. Especially if I get down there.

It sounds like somewhat of an adaptation of the old calypso song, "Carnival Celebration" by Small Island Pride. Then again, I'm sure that style of singing was pretty prevalent in old-time calypso.

I strongly suspect that this song was 'influenced' (I'll refrain from saying "directly ripped off") by the Lucho Bermudez track.

Exactly WHO is the THEY you speak of?

Are you playing host to some undead visitors. How do you know whether you laugh when you're dead? Have you tried it?

SO not true. You can have a sense of humor - you just can't have yours. You get one from the dullsville shmucks who went Upstairs.

Remember all the lame jokes you ever heard? You'll laugh like a hyena on nitrous about them in Hell. And you'll know how much you suck when you do.

Great transition from Lucho Bermudez - Fiesta de Negritos!! Similar sounding songs merged together seemlessly!! Great job Bill!

I read that the Zippers record almost everything live. That's how they get that amazing old big band / swing sound in their songs, noticed that cool reverberance in this one? Like if they were recorded while actually playing in a ballroom.

Katharine Whalen is the female lead singer and banjo player in the band. She has this quirky singing style that has been compared to Billie Holiday. She is great!, doesn't sing on this tune though. check out 'Put a Lid on It' or 'Blue Angel' from this cd as well.

This song sounds like it should have been on the soundtrack to Beetlejuice. :) I like it.

WHOA!!!!!! "Hell" right after that "Fiesta de Negritos" song. Is RP psychic? How did you know I was a) thinking of that song and b) wishing you'd play that song? WOW!!!

Of course, the songs sound very similar, so it's not much of a stretch. Upon further reflection, I'm less impressed.

I'm from NC and I just have to say that I have never seen so many people buy into such annoying music simply b/c they saw those guys once at frat party...I rank them in the sixth circle of hell, right next to Mighty Mighty Boss Stones.

This song plays for eternity. In the lower parts of hell, that is.

There are some other good tunes on this CD. You should check it out. If this song does not get you dancing at your desk, nothing will.
