I rated it 8. Sorry for holding the score down. 9 now. If it had more Billy it'd be 10 I think. |

Billy Bragg's the dog's bollocks, Wilco is a dog's breakfast. Let's hear some Billy, please, Bill and Becky, and a little less Wilco.

This song was a big hit at my wedding. I'll always remember my mother in law and father in law dancing together to it.

Quite nice in a Stonesish kind of way, with some more bite it'd earn that 8.

Almost 1000 listeners have rated this song ... so, as the politicians say: "American families have spoken" |

Well, it is a great song and I am glad that you appreciate that too, but I can't quite give it a 9 or 10. Those are reserved for my all time favs. I think 8 is appropriate. |

I think the comments by calypsus are the best part of this venue, but then again I never tire of 'this is good for the ears' either |

I have sang this song in jam session in my friends house. At that point I just knew that it was a unreleased Woody Guthrie song. It was picked up and made famous by Wilco. But trust me Woody Guthrie, the original writer, would have done a great job if he had sang it. And has anyone seen how much music Woody Guthrie actually wrote? Check out Jonatha Brooke (Spelling?). She did an entire album of unreleased Woody songs.

They make sense to me. Resistance is futile; he raised his rating from 7 to 8. Or maybe he found a hatband. |
