Some of my favorite LZ songs are their simplest. Robert Plants amazing voice accompanied by Jimmy P on acoustic guitar. This song is beautiful and timeless.

You gotta love the Zep. I've been having a big LZ revival lately.
And it's been pleasant! Good summer tunes too...

One of the things I most admire about Zeppelin was their ability to go from incredibly intense electric stuff to beautiful airy acoustic pieces like this on the drop of a dime. Probably one of the reasons I am such a Porcupine Tree addict- they do the same kind of thing at least in terms of shifts of mood (not comparing the 2 bands so don't go ballistic please)

I received an original cassette of this album as a gift on my 11th birthday in 1971, the year my family and I moved to London UK. I still have it but it's faded and worn from over use. Should I feel old? NOT. |

sansured wrote:What a gently magnificent song this is, a shining example of Zeppelin's exquisite lighter touch. I've noticed that Zep's music has lost none of its power over the years. They still remain in that league all by themselves. Probably my favorite Zep album, LZ-III was regarded as a mild commercial disappointment(only by Zep's colossal standards)having sold six million copies in the U.S. alone, though its stature continues to grow with the passage of time, it is still an underrated gem.
The lighter side is Zep is the magic ingedient that generations of imitators always miss, concentrating only on the heavy side and missing the big picture. Folk, blues and rock all influenced the band. |

I don't know about, but one of my reasons for listening to RP is because I hear new things all the time. I especially like it when I hear a new song from an old artist I thought I knew. |

I was ashamed that I hadn't rated this song yet. I thought I'd gotten a 10 hung on all of LZ's songs by now. At least I got the satisfaction of giving it a 10 today. |

One on my all time favorites.
Lyrics are awesome, if a bit flowery... Love this tune!!!
Zep III really made me a fan. For those none Zep fans, listen to the songs on this album, especially side 2. You may change your opinion...
