I never really paid much attention to Kate until i met my wife, who is just bonkers for her. I got sucked in too once I took the time to listen. Great Stuff.

Great song, but I recently saw the video again. (Vintage early 80's video technology...) Wow. What cheese!

of course, anything and everything by Kate Bush i consider superlative. she is the first and the best of her kind of music. "Wuthering Heights" still runs chills up my spine.
how can a voice be so powerfull, and yet so etherial?? a gift from the gods, i say!!

I've been looking for an excuse to switch to my shiny new CD, but RP was just too good all morning. Thanks for the excuse. ( I gave her a 6... my lowest rating today. )

I guess I have all of her albums. Red Shoes is not the best, but I was delighted to hear Kate do the funky thing, since she surprised me a few times before.

Do you know 'The Sensual World'? I think that's the Kate Bush album, although better songs are to be found on other albums.

I respect Jeff Beck, but he clearly knows his place. You should respect/acknowledge that.

How about "Rubberband Man" from *The Red Shoes* or "Eat the Music* from the same album, please?

The song is "Rubberband Girl."

Anyway, Kate=Goddess.

Yes, I can definitely imagine Ms. Lauper covering The Big Sky!! I would love to see that! (and yes, Kate came way first...lol)

i am so gratefull i was introduced to this remarkable talent many years ago. this must be the only "station" that plays her on a regular basis. the first 2 albums are so extraordinary, i listen to them on a regular basis. i would love to hear LIONHEART, or JAMES AND THE COLD GUN, or HAMMER HORROR. all her music is magical, and unquestionably way ahead of its time. play on, RP, and thank you.

Its funny that you play Kate so soon after Gilmour, he helped jump start her career, along with Peter Gabriel. Gilmour plays and sings on a few songs on her The Dreaming" album as well as in The Sensual World on two tracks, one of which is one of her best songs. Check out both albums. The Dreaming is the female equivalent of Peter G's Security or Melting CD. The Hounds of Love is excellent, but not my favorite. Relistened to The Red Shoes lately, like it more over time, she is recording something new, lets hope she goes expirimental again like Peter G with his new one. I am all over the place with this post...sorry. Good song, but not her best.....

"What was the question?
I was looking at the Big Sky..."

Bush said in an interview that she got a little drunk to record this. I love the image of that.
I love this album, too.
