How many times will you Reggae dweebs listen to the same tune/rhythm/sentiments and say "It's just as terrific as the last 1,000 times I heard this same piece dressed up as though it's new work".  This guy wrote "I Shot the Sheriff" then came to the end of originality and innovation.  Surely this is THE most boring of all popular music genres:  tedium and tediumer!

The same could be said about classic rock dweebs and the Stones, Hendrix and Pink Floyd. How do you feel about those bands?

I listen to all kinds of reggae inspired music from the 60s to present day and all its variants and love it all, especially dub. Granted, I don't often listen to the stuff that gets played to death mainstream, like most Marley tracks, because I have heard them enough. But just because you have probably never dipped into the different genres reggae offers (dub, ska, dancehall etc, etc) then don't base the music on the tiny sample you obviously don't like.

Peace.

What's up with the non-stop oldies?  Lets give the 60s stoner scene a break for a week or two to just see how it feels.  Might just be we can kick the habit for good?

I think you're supposed to be stoned ... no?  That would explain why I kind of got off on it in the late 70s early 80s but now more or less agree that it's just boring.  I do really enjoy some of the dub and ska from the 60s still though.

This is a beautiful piece, haunting and quite distinct for Bob.  I pity those who don't get the many shades of reggae, the wonderful lyrics, melodies, creativity in execution and the overall majesty of Bob.
