I loved the movie "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" but how could you not know Bowie?

I was losing touch with my radio... This is part of my Bowie library which includes only those titles issued originally on vinyl.

Why is it that I like this song only if heard on RP?    I think I am an RP-o-phile as well as an audiophile.

Oooooh, I get it. They live in east Berlin and their love is doomed but if only they could escape over the wall they would be heroes - the wall could be literal of metaphorical in the sense that relationships that fail do so because of the walls we put up, etc.

Nice little tune.

Mine too - Just not the short version.  Please Bill, play the long album version.  Or one of the many great live versions out there.

Thanks

Would you please, please take this truncated version behind the barn and brain it with an axe?

It won't hurt a bit to play the full tune.

I don't get it... maybe 'cause I didn't see the movie. I've rated Bowie material from 10 down to 1, probably the widest range of any artist played here - this one's on the lower end. I must have been born without the gene to get what's to like about Heroes.

8.5 overall rating guys.  This type of average rating on RP is reserved for the best of the best... maybe it's you.

BOWIE...?

Song rather stupid - voice terrible! WORST of Bowie's voices!

Alter, was laberst Du denn hier für Bullshit?

Christiane F. lebt (siehe auch meine Vorposter). Bowies Stimme ist einfach seine Stimme. Punkt.

When did Christiane F die?

She's still alive.  There was an article in a Berlin paper about her dated January 28, 2011.  She's still having drug problems, and has been in and out of treatment programs, but she's still alive.

To those interested in Christiane F.: She's still around - apparently she's not well and sadly back in the junkie scene, but definitely alive! A local newspaper ran a story on her current situation last week (http://www.bz-berlin.de/aktuell/berlin/christiane-f-check-bei-drogen-razzia-article1100635.html).
