Puke away, poor thing, while the rest of us enjoy this amazing classic.

Love most of this song...I am just unsure whether we needed the strings in the background providing counterpoint.

Nice segue from Coltrane's Naima to Gaye's classic. "Right on."

Without a doubt one of the greatest albums of all times, seems there still are some votes under 8 which without a doubt are from persons with no taste at all... This IS RP material, so live with it!!{#Snooty}

(maybe not a bad idea to have votes only have effect on the average score after reaching 5% in that category)

I can't help but sing to this one - 10, easy.  And perfect for this day - it's hot, the sky's clear blue, the birds are singing and the butterflies are exploring every blooming flower they can find. No loud engines, no barking dogs... It's scary-good, as if the music of Marvin Gaye were controlling the environment.  Well, maybe it can... {#Meditate}{#Sunny}

I just can't believe this is rated as low as it is. Sublime. It's in a class all it's own. Just goes to show you...it's all a personal taste, just like what sells at garage sales and what doesn't. To me...this is the prize.

I dunno, but I think 8.8 average is pretty damned high...one of RP's highest, I think.

I swear I've heard this playlist before but when you just get out of bed and four songs later have 40/40 who's complaining?

I like this song even more now than I did then.  And it's words still ring true.

Not only is this song great, but the side of the album (remember them?) that included it was a gentle suite that bears playing.

BillG? Any chance that the entire side could make its way into the RP lexicon?

Excellent Song.

The only other version that does it justice is Rod Tidwell's.
