This is a fantastic "lost" instrumental which brings to mind wide open spaces and grandiose dreams.

One Of These Nights is the most listenable of Eagles' albums these days.

I know it dates back to the original BBC radio play. I suspect it's just because Douglas Adams liked it.

I love this, but I am having such a hard time believing it's the Eagles...

Don't be too hasty to diss that movie, the odds of liking a Dizz movie may be 362851 to 1 AGAINST for cool people but improbable does not mean impossible. And I generally agree with Jeffery Lebowski on the Eagles too but he should abide here... it really was a thrill to hear the banjo solo in the flick, it's a 9 easy!

How nice to hear some different Eagles for a change.

I didn't know until today that the theme was a real published song. I'm headed to iTunes now to download it!

Also for the BBC radio show - I'm sitting here missing Douglas so badly today for some reason - he was a great man, a human being that shone very brightly.

I gave it a 9.. probably because it reminded me of the Hitchhiker's guide BBC show. I saw the movie too, and i thought it was just OK.

Pretty good for it's time; but there's a lot of other songs from this album that are truly "timeless"...

I don't feel as strong about them, but think it's a funny quote nonetheless.

Actually, this song is really cool!

Sure, the movie was lame-o with a capital L, but I have to say I got such a thrill when this song came blazing out during the opening sequence.

And come on -- Sam Rockwell makes everything all right. :D

What's the big deal? If you want orchestra and banjo -- and actual lyrics about Gram Parsons to boot -- go for Poco's "Crazy Eyes."

Cool quote of "Soldier's Joy" at the end of it. Never noticed before. Guess they didn't play that part on Hitchhiker's Guide...
