A great song from a highly creative period of 3 albums from the Stones, this one, Let It Bleed and Beggar's Banquet

Overrated in reference to who?

Just as you were wondering how they could possibly top Let It Bleed, out comes "Brown Sugar" and Sticky Fingers. Awesome band that can still bring it with the best of 'em.

I would rate any song from Sticky Fingers a 10. It really hurt the Stones losing Mick Taylor. This song particularly is amazing.

Ugh...sorry, just not a Stones fan...but this gets a slightly higher rating than other songs from them. Has some more interesting interplay between the vocals and instrumentation.

If you're hearing Madman Across the Water, then it was Elton who lifted it, because this came out first.
But Madman is one of my favorites, and this is one of the lesser-played but best Stones songs. It's a win-win! |

Not one of their bigger hits from Sticky Fingers, but seems to hold up well. Nice to hear again after all these years.

One way to really enjoy this song is to hear it for the first time with 3 friends, driving in a Dodge window van on a cross country trip, the sun just setting behind the Rockies as they come into view after a long day traversing the great plains.

This it just another example of why Radio Paradise is so great. The Stones don't usually do much for me either, but I guess we could be hearing "Start Me Up" for the 10-billionth time...

I didn't do enough heroin either but I've always enjoyed this cut as I have also enjoyed this album. This was as good as they got. |
