1. Why wouldn't Britany Spears fit under the heading of Eclectic if Bill played it.

2. This song is bad no matter whether you think its what being eclectic is about or not.

No freaking way did you just play this song. I thought I was one of only two people who knew the words to it. It was on the soundtrack to a dumb Madonna movie ("Next Best Thing") that I bought for the song "Stars All Seem to Weep" and it was a happy find. That's a great soundtrack, by the way, I recommend it highly. It also has a good Gabriel Yared song, even Moby! It's one of those "experience" compilations that sound good together.

My only problem with this song is that this guys says he's the king of bongo...he ain't...IIIIIII AM!! HOO HAH HA!

Anyway, I dig it. THIS kind of suprise is why I listen.

I originally heard this little riff on a website and thought it was really cool but just a personal loop. Since then, I've only ever heard the Spanish (?) version of this. I'm totally charmed by it. I can imagine why it's not to everyone's taste. but having these types of songs coming up between English Beat and Todd Rundgren (not much to MY taste, but whatever) that keeps me coming back... Nice work as always.

First heard this on a world cd for children that was given to my daughter. This song really stood out. In a good way. I don't know how to describe it but damn if it isn't catchy.

The rest of the album is really good as is Clandestino. Check out some Mano Negra at some point too. Great stuff from outside the US.

I agree totally. For the record, I didn't get into the song at all, but give me Bongo over Britney any day.

Rock on, Eclecticism. Why? Because every once in a while RP plays a song you'd never otherwise expose yourself to, and just so happen to like.

My first instinct when I said this was to say, "What the hell is _that_?!?" :???:

But on the other hand, I also kinda liked it and wasn't really sure why either. ;)
