This version is certainly interesting, but I prefer HEM's too.

the originals are beautifully composed and the harmonies are incredible!

the littlest birds is a great tune! hint, hint.

Littlest Birds should be on the playlist.

Heh. The echo violin going on in the background reminds me of the background music from the computer game Diablo. :)

I've heard lots about this band (particularly interested because they share my name) and this song utterly disappointed me. Kinda gave me a headache, too....maybe that's because I haven't eaten anything, but in any case, bleaugh.

Just like the rating says, sucko-barfo.

This song is too repetitive and banal. I have to change the station everytime it comes on.

That is bizarre
i like this version, but it's different enough from Hersh's version to play them both.

Now this is gonna sound bizzare, but it's true. I had an album (yes an album) by Cher (yes, Cher) when I was in jr high and she sang this song. I've also heard Linda Ronstadt sing this song. But, IMHO,the Tanyas version is much better then either.

Yes.. Kristin Hersh's version is a lot better I think. Maybe I can upload it this weekend. But - would RP play two versions of this song? I guess they could drop the Tanyas...

Another version of this tune is by Deana Carter on the Songcatcher soundtrack. That's a more uptempo version than this one, although I like this one also. I think it's funny that people were calling for Kristin Hersh's version of this tune (which I haven't heard): I thought that it was Tonya Donnelly singing this version even before I saw the name of the band!

Doing a search through RP's music reveals only this version. Why don't you upload Kristen Hersh's version for us to hear?
