Disintegration is my favorite album by The Cure. Although, I do like Pictures Of You better than this one. Still, awesome tune, awesome album, awesome band!

The Cure had the saddest music and the smartest lyrics. They never get old.

One of the great (among many) upsides to RP is getting exposure even to older bands that you missed during their heyday. Whatever I was listening to back then—and most of it came through 'HFS when it was still in Bethesda—it didn't include The Cure. But they were and are a great band. I love this song.

Disintegration rules.   More Cure... please!

I like it for the lyrics and the way the music mimics the creepy spider legs twitching . . .

Don't really care for the song (or the Cure in general), but that was a nice segue from U2's "Seconds" to this. Bill, you do nice work.

I dunno. Obviously this piece resonates with many for whom it was part of the soundtrack of part of their lives, but as a piece of music it is rather uninteresting. Generally, it ought to take more than a simplistic melody repeated until the end to make a good piece of music. If this was composed by Montovani, do you think it would receive the rapturous accolades here in the comments section? Just wondering...

Thanks for paraphrasing the definition of pop music!

Please. Dreck? You give Miles Davis a 9 on Concierto, so I have to give you some pause and points, but Dreck? I am resentful. Robert got me through some long nights.

Robert also got me laid. A lot. By hot, sexy Goth chicks wearing black lingerie. There's definitely something to be said for that.

What a pity that nobody here would understand the lyrics from 'Schlaflied' (click here) performed by 'Die Aerzte'...

Oh, I remember that one! "The Lullaby"...where Jerry and Elaine try to kill Aerzte, right?

Despite an infinite number of plays on the radio, RP, and my personal player, this song still rates an outstanding. It just epitomizes so much of what's great about The Cure.
