Appropriately scary for Hallowe'en!!!
Geez, this could become a guilty pleasure ... the idea is, indeed frightening, but the execution is surprisingly fresh, with that Welsh caveman's vocals juxtaposed with Nina Persson's silky voice, that funky arrangement...
Okay, okay, I made that up. I even had to look up the singer's name for the Cardigans. I don't mind the song, though--in small and very occasional doses.

Wow. I don't care for the Cardigans, nor for Tom Jones, generally, and I Love the Talking Heads to pieces, so I shouldn't like this cover. But it does work. Nice interpretation of the original - not better, not worse - different, and catchy.

Aww, I just think this is whimsical. I've come to appreciate Tom Jones and his sense of humor since listening to RP.

This is awful!
The Cardigans have done some pretty cool stuff, their new album's excellent, but this sucks big time. Tom Jones should have rested his larynx years ago

So does Celine Dion. They're no excuse for anyone butchering this great song the way this collaboration did.

...bouncing around the office, hoping there are a couple of open windows, after listening to this song. Truly a bland and middle-of-the-road cover of a brilliant, unique song, done perfectly by the Talking Heads 1st time around.

No more of this one, PLEASE.

I've tried to find merit in this song over the past year or so but I just can't. It's awful.

There's something really wrong about this version.

It fails on so many levels. Sorry. PLEASE don't play it again RP. A bit of a blot on a usually well thought out programming content.

I don't think it fits either "Eclectic", "Intelligent" or "Rock"

Whoever thought this one up seriously needs to stay away from the brown acid.

And yet, it somehow isn't a total suckfest.

ummm, he also did a cover of Prince's "Kiss," which was really good.

This is a GREAT cover. Tom Jones is just goofy enough to pull this off. Of course I'm constantly reminded of the guy singing the opening song in "The Emperors New Groove" (whose voice was done by Tom Jones)

Good stuff :)

I like the Cardigans. Why didn't they just do the cover themselves. Tom Jones looks like Bob from "That 70's Show." Sings like a....I don't know. This is a nightmare.
