Awww, missed it this time.  Was slumming on KPIG for a few minutes. Everything on Avalon is amazing.

Aww, come on, guys, stop giving this song a hard time! I, for one, enjoy it — though I have to admit that I'm hard put to find too many 80's bands whom I don't enjoy on SOME level. It would be great if RP uploaded more Pet Shop Boys, Human League, New Order, etc. Bring it on! {#Drummer}

Hearing them back to back you gotta admit that there was a huge evolutionary leap in music between the '80s and '90s. This crap's like a Mentos commercial.

Agreed. This song has no soul.

Not bad but I prefer the 10,000 Maniacs cover.

I totally agree Sasha

It was a total piece of rubbish back in the early 80's and it has not improved with age.

The re-branding of Roxy Music was always a cynical commercial enterprise by the record companies to produce inoffensive middle-of-the-road pap to feed the then developing FM radio market.

Playing this song drags Radio Paradise down. I would be so embarrased if any of my friends tuned in for the first time (on my ardent recommendation) and were subjected to this. What a waste of braodband quota.

It's really amazing how utterly BORING Roxy became by '82... a Muzak-sounding, easy listening dud—eons away from their excellent, hard driving songs in the early & mid '70s. Gimme "Pyjamarama" or "The Thrill of It All" any day, and leave this rubbish where it belongs. 

Well, that's where their music brought them. Like other bands that were more creative in the 70 (ahem, Genesis) the 80s were a different vibe and the music reflects that.

I like this tune AND the band, but this for some reason this is one of their most popular tunes and they have FAR better tunes than this one. How 'bout some stuff that predates this! I don't mean to be complaining...just like the band, but rarely hear anything of theirs other than this and "Love is The Drug". RP would be a good place to let some of these older tunes out of the bag.

Oooooh - I agree!  If some kind soul would upload a few early Roxy Music songs for review... I've got seven submitted songs (no, not Roxy Music) in review now. It takes time... Can't afford to buy music, but if I have it on CD and can convert it to a decent MP3 bitrate, I'll try to upload it. Meanwhile, I still love this song - it's great for doing stretches in the dark with candles and fragrance. Dreamy and inspiring...

Something about the beginning of this song just makes me exhale, relax, and feel like I can survive another day. Sometimes, it even inspires me to do my stretches...

I love Roxy Music. {#Sunny}

Someone lent me the tape of this when I was about 17. The sonic excellence on it bowled me over (yes, even off tape). This and Steely Dan's Gaucho were on constant replay on the Walkman for about six months (until I had to give both tapes back). It was the first CD I bought, just for the sound, and to test out hi-fi systems. And it still sounds fresh today. Big hand for Bryan and the boys.
