Really glad to hear this - and not Zep - heard the Zep tune way to much already .

You've gotta look at the whole series of songs that's been put together just now (9/22) Bill's got a bit of a twisted sense of timing. Any song's with a girl named Rita ?

It's... the... blues... this is exactly what the blues is about. Poor unfortunate souls getting screwed by life, the universe, and everything. Get over your PC self.

Nothing could be more appropriate.

Zeppelins version is much better. That is one of their best numbers. This version is so different its okay anyway, though. Better than a perfect circles cover I think.

Maybe it's just the early Friday afternoon setting, but this is SMOKIN'...

And I agree, Zep's version is good, but this is THE GOODS!

The notion this is a "zep" song may not sit well with some.

Much as I like classic rock, cut my teeth on the mighty Led Zep, etc. I could never say that a group of crusty white Brits out-bluesed guys like Magic Slim and James Cotton. That's counter to definition, sorry.

Excellent rendition of a tune I've heard covered at least a dozen ways.

This is am awesome tune, I really like the blues approach. I've just always had a bit of a problem with cover songs, let alone an entire cover album.

I think I prefer the original, mostly because it's the original

However, this gets my official "best cover evverrrrrr" stamp of approval

As authentic as this may be, Bonham gives the song such a killer groove, I can't help liking that version best. Hope to hear it here.

make me realize the blues came first.

Many years ago, some critic called Zep "the last great British blues band." Somehow this great cover, up against Zep's, just seems to make that idea ring all the more true.
