Not sure why "levee" makes a song pretentious and annoying. But, naming yourself "Magic Slim" - maybe?

Whoa! I'm suddenly back in Sweet Home Chicago, sitting in a dark, dank club, quaffing a cold beer, and listening to wonderful blues . . .
Ah, thanks, for letting me drift back to that wonderful memory, and escape, for the moment, my desk here in Washington, DC (about as far from that kind of blues as you can get).

What an awesome contrast to Led Zep! Makes me like both covers even more!

That's an amazing album, and he puts on a transcendent show. (One of the few shows I've ever seen that can change your life.) The beginning of "Let My Baby Ride" is possibly one of the most perfect moments of recorded music ever.
I'll upload a couple of Burnside cuts to see if they get added. (I admit to being totally mystified at which of my submissions have and which haven't.) |

I got it, too. Been some crazy digital "static" coming through the last couple days on RP. Same on all channels, too - almost like the "tape's getting eaten up"! :???: |
