the original version was far better - imho whatever ..
the backwards reverb on the piano is way off
the vocal track seems too .. mmm whats the word .. Affected :( To put on a false show of; simulate.) yup . trying to much - contrived.. not relaxed enough something like that. . production too sparse .
acoustic gtr seems to be MIA
lots more to say but - not as exciting at all.

Good ol' 80's pop. Nice tune. Liked the original version better.

Haven't heard this version of this song.
Hmmm... Takes a bit of getting used to, but it's getting better all the time. Haha, I make only myself laugh.

I loved this song in the day, but now it just passes by with a simple "feh" .... Seems too like this is the only song this band ever recorded.

Waiting for Rob Lowe or John Cusak to stick their head in my office and invite me to don my Don Johnson pink shirt and white silk jacket and head off to the club to see if I can't save Demi Moore's Grandmother's house or assist me in suddenly realizing that my best friend who is a girl would really be the best girl friend for me.

The original would get a 10, this gets a 5. All those nice old synthesizer sounds are gone, which gave it so much more color and personality. Now it could sound like any hipster/alterna rock thing.

Hoo-boy, was Nicholas Cage just the dreamiest ever in that flick??? It was the first time I'd ever fallen for a movie star...liked him even better in Moonstruck. I'll always think of him grabbing his wrist to shake his prosthetic fingers at Cher shouting, "I'm no monument to justice! I LOST MY HAND!!!!" LOL
I had similar feelings for the co-"star", Deborah ... (googling) ... Foreman. What a hottie! |
