I like the simplicity of the guitar, but really, he has the drabby voice of bob dylan. I feel compelled to listen though, need the cd.

It's not possible to pick a favorite Nick Drake song....they are all exquisite. I also recommend that anyone who is interested check out the documentary on Nick's life called "A Skin Too Few," (see http://www.nickdrakefilm.com) if you can find it, but be prepared to shed some tears. ">(click here)

I don't know why this amazing songwriter never received more recognition... I only learned of Nick Drake thanks to that VW commercial playing "Pink Moon." Having the melody in my head, I went on a crazy spree finding out who it was... so haunting and beautiful. So sad.

Same with me! I had never heard of Nick Drake before listening to RP. I can't even imagine why not. His music is gorgeous and will touch people long after his tragic death. |

this is truly awesome. it reminds me a great deal of several of the tracks from Arlo Guthrie's first album, "Arlo" (Meditation - Wave Upon Wave springs to mind).
I am definitely going to have to buy one of his albums now.
