Some background explanation (?) for the song found at http://www.angelfire.com/rock/sfalyrics/christian.html:

"The Ministry of Truth were discovered whilst researching material for Rings Around the World on the Internet. The band came across a cult checklist banner belonging to the MiniTru, and were suitably intrigued. First attempts to contact the head of the organisation Dr Barbi Geddyn were difficult. Gruff, front man for the band, managed to get through to the man himself, only to be told that he wasn't at home and therefore the conversation they were having over the phone wasn't happening. The Geddyns are presently encamped deep in the American Bible Belt, suffused in Pornological Research and the Leisure Sciences. The Geddyns' religious and academic foundation, the Ministry of Truth, has been called the "world's sexiest and UFO suicide mind-control cult." They can be reached at info@minitru.org."

Middle Genesis feel, but with a sleepy cowboy groove. It's no "Lamb Lies down" but, then neither was later Genesis.

My liking is/was more of a bell-curve with tail.

First the bell curve...
Initally hated it, grew to like it, then grew to hate it through daily listening (why Bill :???: ).

Then the tail...
Now that Bill dropped the heavy rotation, I can tolerate it once again. Probably not for long though, since it is now back to a "normal" rotation (which is not a good thing for a burnt out song).

Are these the words of a prophet? ;)

I had to give it an extra point because of the guest introduction - that was cute.

Thanks for that information.
I read a review that they didn't do that well, performing at a big popfestival, but obviously, under other circumstances that can be different.
Delighted to know, 'cause I think it's a special new band, that deserves to do well, IMO.

Ditto. Sounds like the bass and guitar player are bored out of their minds with this tune.

Wow, didn't expect to hear this one! A completely mindblowing album, this. My favorite tune, personally, is "Shoot Doris Day"...or "Roman Road".

Hmm, far away from being their best song, but it's nice... - Id rather like to hear songs from their album "Guerilla"!

You're right. It's dreamy AND dark. A lot of my favourite songs are.

The harmony is heavenly but the lyrics tell a different tale. It is a "dirge" and it is "depressing" but it is still a beautiful song.
