You do have to have a sense of humor to live in this town - how many movies can you name where Fresno is used as a punchline :)

(although I think Chris Isaak is actually from Stockton, about 120 north)

Just caught a Chris Isaak concert this week. very enjoyable and looks damn fine in sequins.

The first time I heard one of Chris' songs on the radio I thought it was a Roy Orbison song I'd missed. Then I heard him on one of Nicole Sandlers live spots, what a talented musician and a very funny guy too (guess you have to be when you come from Fresno)! Saw him at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA a short time later. Hard to believe, he's even better in concert than he is on the "radio". Own all his CD's now..... :p
