Their new disc, "Snakes and Arrows" is great. Their tour is fantastic, best in 10 - 15 years, maybe.

Huh? Are you comparing this to Chopin? Did you remember to take your medicine today?

Rush on RP? Be still my heart. ;-) I had always though there was a bit of an anti-Rush bias here...

Not my favorite song by a long stretch, but welcome nonetheless.

I love Rush and this may be my favorite song by them. Not so much because of the lyrics, which are great and relevant and all that. For me it's the music. This is a perfect example of how musically brilliant this trio can be. Neil Peart's drum parts in particular are phenomenal, both in their conception and their technical execution. Music scholars will be dissecting it for years to come, the way pianists do with Chopin.

I saw them recently on their "Snakes and Arrows" tour. Best concert I have seen in years. I especially enjoyed their live rendition of "Far Cry". The video for this song is very creative, I bought it from iTunes.

I enjoy the whole Rush sound and lyrics very much.

Ok, Ok, Ok. I will grant you that Geddy Lee's voice is an aquired taste, like Tom Waits', Mark Knopfler's or, yes, even Dylan's. But please, folks, don't compare Neil Peart's poetic and insightful lyrics to that of Yes, or even worse, Spinal Tap. Rush is one of the few bands around to consistently tackle some of the more weighty philosophical issues in their lyrics, like free will or the nature of equality. I like Yes musically, but there ain't nothin' in the Rush canon as insipid as "Mountains come out of the sky and they stand there."

Whenever people start complaining about Geddy Lee's vocals I get sorely tempted to upload some Pavlov's Dog. Maybe Julia.

Bill could program a Geddy Lee vs. David Surkamp vs. Jon Anderson screech-off sure to drive all you complainers away.

always kind of had a soft spot for Geddy Lee's voice...maybe that's why I like the Mars Volta so much...

When my husband saw them tour a few years ago they had a working washer and dryer on stage. Now that's a working man!

to be fair...he wasn't snorting coke. rather, he chopped up some "puff-style" cheetos. but yes, it was funny.

I was big into RUSH back in high school and its like I'm hearing the same old conversations - too weird sci-fi, hate Geddy's vox. Check out these instrumentals:

1. La Villa Stangiato (the best)
2. YYZ
3. Where's My Thing?
4. Leave That Thing Along

I think Geddy Lee is the worst vocalist in the history of popular music.
I mean really, who's worse??!! (and don't say Dylan or Neil Young; they're friggin' Pavoratti in comparison)

The guy who "sings" for The Killers. If only Dick Cheney would take him quail hunting.

The problem with All Rush Radio is they spend too long playing Bootlegs instead of the studio releases.

My favourite example of Rush singing about unconventional topics is Cygnus X-1. How often have you heard a band singing about a black hole?

Fairwell to Kings, My Fav, listened and saw them in the seventy. You had to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great interview with Alex Lifeson in Guitar One magazine - I didn't know for instance that he and Geddy Lee live in the same neighborhood and have for years, or that Neil Peart lost his wife and daughter to injury and illness and that's why they stopped playing for so long. He's also very hilarious about their roots and he discusses his guitar influences.
"there is unrest in the forest
there is trouble with the trees" - come on give it up for Rush! Dine on a honeydew, why dontcha.
