Morrissey's only good song as a solo artist.

Sometimes, just sometimes, if I'm in the mood...Morrissey is the greatest artist EVER. This is one of those times.

I'm starting to see a pattern in tastes. The same people who like this guy like Natalie Merchant and REM.(Not trying to be insulting, just observing)
I personally don't limited vocal range naval gazing by people who don't have any instrumental talent.

Got a Moody Blues feel with that Wall-of-Orchestra-Sound b/g.

Also, the title should read Every Day is Like Sunday; ''everyday'' is an adjective.

This song always reminds me of Withernsea, surely the grottiest and most deserving of armageddon of all the East Yorkshire coast towns. Great singer, great lyrics, shame that he's such an overweening arrogant moralistic tit. IMO nowt he's done solo is a patch on the Smiths at their heyday - without Johnny Marr he's just a clever songwriter.

I ever thought that if only I may have a soul-twin in the world could be Morrissey..... his are probably the best lyrics I ever read, seems all made on me, same thoughts, same feelings.... you're not alone brother

Never have been a fan of Morrisey or The Smiths and couldn't understand why he had a branch sticking out of his arse.

however, this is a great song and good to hear it again.

Am I just too little to care about songs about nuclear war?

Especially today, being Sunday and all. But it's summertime, and wild horses couldn't drag me away, because here's where the story ends.

This title makes me think of Otis Redding's Champagne and Wine, in which he uses the same phrase ("every day is gonna be like Sunday") to promise happy times. Completely different sentiment.

I like Morissey, even though his songs are rather depressing. He and Robert Smith must be related somehow.

I see them differently.... Morrissey's lyrics are a parody of depressing lyrics (i.e., Girlfriend in a Coma, Hairdresser On Fire, etc.), and Robert's are just depressing, but they're both excellent.
