I've never heard of Toots, but I think it's not half bad.  A lot more soul than the original.

I'm a huge fan of Toots, but this song, there's just no redemption. It's awful.

Never thought I'd say this cause I was "too cool" back in his day but John Denver was an incredibly gifted songwriter with a beautiful voice and apparently, a hell of a genuine nice guy.

I smile whnever I hear "West Jamaica."
