this is one of those cases where i'm resisting inflating my rating to compensate for others' poor judgment. i agree it seems that most of the criticism is based on its genre or style, rather than the song itself, and that's just dumb. it's not my preferred genre or style either, but it's one of the better (more melodic and lyrically conscious) examples i've heard, and it makes a nice compliment to the "eclectic" set on RP. and that's why we're all here, right?

I have no problem with the genre, just the song. It sounds like something they blast at my gym (especially toward closing time, when they're trying to get us out of there).

But I still love RP and always will...

God, I'm twisted. This song has one of THE lowest ratings on RP and I REALLY dig it. Man.

Apparently the chief criticism directed against this song is its genre. I find this extremely disappointing. The main reason I listen to RP is to broaden my horizons. I thought the RP audience would be more open-minded than this. :(

Not bad for a rap song. Rap isn't my taste... neither is Reggae, but I listen to them 'Hear' @ RadioParadise because the music played is a mixture, and is diverse, and it is because of this that I listen.

Thanks Bill ... tastefully done. (as is usual!)

rap separates the truly eclectics from the wannabe eclectics ;)

Not into rap. Nope.

Interesting message, but I don't see that this is about music either.

I enjoy ALL types of music.... when it's thought provoking and original.

good pick, RP! i was always a big fan of Arrested Development, and this stuff seems to be equally thoughtful and entertaining.

A little hip-hop now and then is good for us all. If you give it a chance, you might find it more interesting than you realize. I rather enjoyed this song. "Alternative" radio embraced Arrested Development (this guy's old band) back in the mid-90's, giving a lot of airplay to the songs Mr. Wendel and Tennessee. Perhaps this one will follow suit. Thanks Bill!
