Sunny Sunday (poor pun) in Texas ... cold and windy outside ... fire going inside .... cup O'hot joe spiked with brandy .... fooling round on the lap top ........ very relaxing ...... great music flow so far today. |

I saw Echo and the Bunnymen this past summer on the Isle of Wight show on TV. He has not aged well but his voice is okay for a late 40s singer. He was actually hard to recognise. I thought it was a singer from the Pogues. Pretty raw.

I've been trying to upload the 12" extended mix from the Sire "Just Say Yes . . ." CD but so far it's received a lukewarm reception — I think the extended version is superior and is what used to get played in the clubs back in the day. |

At my computer with my back to the wood stove. Smells like something is burning. The cord on my headphones won't let me check it out. Don't care. I will wait for this song to end before I take them off and investigate the smoke smell. Thinking about where the fire extinguisher is. For now, it's worth it.

"Far-away dreamy sound" - I would never have thought to put it in those terms, but it works beautifully. Dreamy and wonderful. "Far-away dreamy sound" is a good description of EB and I agree that it works great in this song (8). But sometimes I find it wears thin for me. I appear to be throwing up some pretty grumpy posts today. Time to go swim I guess. |

Wow, for once something I can I agree with physicsgenius on and it's hairlarious
physicsgenius wrote:I was going to ding this one for an incredibly dated sound, but I guess it really was recorded in the 80s. I don't remember them, but whatever. They are still accountable for their hair, though. |
