How could anyone rate this below 8 ?!? This is what music is all about. Transporting all of us to places not seen before, to ride along with another band of Seven. I am bemused by the many who don't recognize something great.

Some of us still don't get the Clash. I'll rate it a 7 anyway, just to avoid getting shot.

Yeah, they did not quite "get" the Clash in Caliifornia at the time (I was visiting for a wedding). After show, I asked young woman with our group whether she liked the show. She said she would have liked it more if the Clash members had smiled more. I told her, dryly, "Yeah, they don't smile much."

sounds like the complete antithesis of the show i saw. the colloseum was essentially an oversized warehouse with a couple of rows of bleachers like you see on old gymnasiums. it was more than 100 degrees in there and the opening act was literally chased off the stage by flying beer bottles after two songs. it definitely WASN'T the english beat. it was AWESOME! one of my favorite shows ever.

Saw them on that tour in Santa Barbara, beautiful amphitheater in hills, near Reagan ranch . . . incongruous setting . . . but great show, with English Beat!

While I really like The Clash; this tune is way, way,way overplayed. I listen to RP to get away from this stuff.
I've tried, but I can't envision a world where this song is overplayed. No, wait. I can't envision a world where this is ever played on the radio. So what you're saying is... is... that there is a heaven?

Came to the checkout at the 7-11
Marx was skint - but he had sense
Engels lent him the necessary pence"
