A very nice song. I have never heard of this artist before but definitely worth spending a few $$$ on the CD.

Sounds like Billy Corgan post-sac removal. |

I gotta jump in and say I got this CD a couple of days ago, and my only complaint is that I can't get the songs out of my head. I usually am not drawn to this type of music, but this CD caught (hell, stole) my attention and hasn't let up yet.

I love it!
This isn't the sound of live instruments. The whole tune sounds electronically sequenced. That bassline is definitely electronic (synth, same thing). Not that this is a bad thing. It has a great sound, very earthy for electronic music. I dig it. |

I liked this at first but after hearing it every freaking day here, I'm getting sick of it.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the stuff she did with Beck. Some of the best stuff under the Jeff Beck nameplate in years. |

Quite likeable, indeed.
This is the second Frou Frou song I've heard in the past couple of days, and for reasons I don't quite understand, I like what I'm hearing.
Thanks, RP, for playing yet even more stuff that I'd have not heard otherwise. |

very fresh vibe, soulful with a real strong twang of funk! Melikes! |

Did she start out with this group and then go solo or is she just a guest on this tune?
Interestingly enough, she actually started off as a solo act first, then later formed Frou Frou. I prefer her solo material, it's a lot more upbeat and had a harder edge. She used to sound like Tori Amos meets Fiona Apple, now it's more like Dido meets Bjork. No complaints here, since I like all those artists, it's just that her earlier material was more catchy and had a little more passion.

As often as this song is played on RP I would have thought I would be sick of it by now. In fact, I rather enjoy this song in spite of it's frequency. This song brings peace into my day. Thanks Bill.

The first seconds of this song I always think it's the Smashing Pumpkins... I'm glad it's not, but the association to SP makes it impossible to enjoy this song. |

picking up from earlier posts ...Imogen Heap -- same one that did "Come Here Boy", yes? Count me in the "Like It" crowd.

I like the description of Frou Frou at AMG:
"Sentimental, Refined/Mannered, Stylish, Elegant"
sounds good. really works in this set.

Read the comment below yours: Imogen Heap.
Pretty cool song, but it's beginning to verge on RP overplaydom. |
