Satriani has the musical chops to say great things via his guitar.  He has nothing to say.

Amazing song.  The best guitar of the planet.

Seeing this song pop up on RP moved me to put on this album, which I haven't listened to in years.  I used to a be religious follower of Satriani in my teens and 20's, sort of lost interest in the last 5-10 years I guess.  Anyway, revisiting this album I was reminded of how great he was in those early years.  This album holds up well for what it is.

I still love Joe even if he hasn't done anything that has piqued my interest in recent years. We all get into ruts sometimes.

I'm a Satch fan. I didn't like this track at first. But then the changes mid song were quite cool. I also appreciate that Bill mixes is up. This was an unexpected artist add. So even though not a fav track, I still appreciate the bold RP variety mix here.

That's the typical comment you hear about any guitarist who's capable of playing fast and clean. While that may be true of some of the "shredders," I wouldn't say it about Joe - I've seen him play.

There are two "feelings" at work, the feeling the artist puts into their music and the feeling the listener gets from it. Joe puts plenty of feeling into his music, but it's not going to resonate with everybody. Different strokes for different folks. I just don't agree with selling someone short for not having any feeling. He wouldn't have spent most of his life playing music if he wasn't into it.

That's what I call an excellent Roland JC 120-sound {#Dance}

... that's right, beats me why there is a sucko barfo ratin' as I for one trust Bill not to play anythin' that's not at least a six hence my ratin's never go below five at the most for a one in a million clanger like Downtown, my lowest ratin' yet in 16 months, this song is easy an 8 but çause I love Joe, it's a nine, so there

You're funny. You've used the 'sucko barfo' rating yourself, and for an artist that I automatically rate up a bit, since I like him. That rating is there because opinions vary. Bill plays stuff that I rate at 1 as well, but that's not his fault or the songs fault, it's just that I don't like the song.

I kept waiting for him to blast off into some slashing staccato tehno-riff as usual... It didn't happen!

Pleasant surprise. I look forward to hearing it next time without having to brace myself for the shock metal assault!

good riff. Joe is extremely technical but sometimes his compositions can be cold. Like a writer that knows 50,000 words but has a difficult stringing them together.

I thought it might be Hedges. Alas, no. I'm glad Joe's alive, but....no one was like Michael Hedges....

For a second, thought this might be Pat Metheny. This song doesn't seem to go anywhere, left me waiting for something that never quite happened.

Back when he was still a guitar god. Not the best off this LP, but without doubt one of my favourite tracks.

Heard this start and KNEW it had to be Satriani. Love his stuff.
