I did that too, and this was one of the first albums I bought off my list. Exceeded expectations

Wow. That was riveting. I hear echoes of Joni Mitchell in their music and her voice but it's fresh and different. :) :p

I thought this was very cool. At first I thought it was Sarah McLachlan. This singer sounds a lot like her.

Exquisite ! Lovely lead vocal, wonderful instrumental...
I'm a bit of a sucker for woodwinds myself, love the way they approximate, and complement, a vocal line.

I am not sure why, but I really, really like this . . . maybe just a sucker for woodwinds.

A friend of mine produced and played guitar on this record, but I hadn't heard any of it until they came out to LA. I was a bit stunned at how good it all was. If you like this song, you'll find even better stuff on the rest of the disc. Please buy it.

Heard them on NPR, saw them play in LA. They pull it off. The writer of most of the material on Rabbit Songs plays like he's the luckiest guy on the face of the earth. I truly hope this catches on. I know what that club in LA pays... unless he has a few more houses to put up......well

I didn't know any background on the group, but was lent the "Rabbit Songs" cd several months ago by a co-worker, who's wife's sister's cousin knows someone in the band ;)
I made a copy, and after going to sleep to that incredible voice for a week, I spent some time and found it on amazon. I bought two copies :) These guys make beautiful music!

Let me count the ways I love this band. Their "Rabbit Songs" CD is just like this -- strangely comforting, serene music. Highly recommended if you like the Cowboy Junkies' "Trinity Sessions."

I read some press about this record that suggested that a few of the band members had almost gone broke while financing the recording. They insisted on including all those special touches, like the 18-piece orchestra, etc. And they paid for it themselves. Gotta admire that kind of conviction.
