Thanx, I just did...   mixed reviews of the show.  "John from Cincinnati" is probably the most foul-mouthed tv series ever made, but I liked it.

Never watched "Deadwood", eh?

"Lor', there goes Martin Luther King
Notice how the door closes when the chimes of freedom ring"

So true.  Terrible how the vote went in Maine yesterday.  Equal rights? Freedom?  We don't need none of that. {#Cry}

Happy Birthday Sept 26th to John Chapman born in 1774. He was better known as Johnny Appleseed.

Unquestionably...they both had a big impact on music...and both needed to be recognized for their contributions.  Strummer's politics and musical style were never popullist.  That was a big part of his appeal for me.  There's a couple documentary films out on Joe...both worthwhile.

Great song, great album - if you don't have it consider checking it out.

I was fortunate enough to have met him a year or so before he passed away. I was there to get a comment for our small mag and Joe graciously gave us his time a friendly chat and smiles - a really nice guy - and, yes the live show rocked too.

More people should hear this later work of his.
