Hey, I'd rather listen to Neko now too, because I've heard Dylan all my life, and I've only known about Neko for a couple of years...and of course there's her VOICE  . But that doesn't mean I'm gonna countenance putting them on the same pedestal (yet) in terms of musical influence or importance. I bet Neko herself would agree.

Contrast this with the previous (Sheryl Crow) and you quickly understand why Neko is top of her class. Beautiful voice, awesome instrumentation, scorching lyrics. Outstanding.

I am very taken with her voice. I hear in it a kind of driving soulful energy that is curiously different than other fine women singers (the chirps for Cowboy Junkies and 10,000 Maniacs, for example); not better, just wonderfully different. Perhaps comparible to what I hear in the woman who sings the "Little God" song.
