Anything from "Blacklisted" should be played on RP. It has the ambience of the wee hours, as one may be alone, introspecting on the evening, life. But hearing any of it is welcome any time.

I love the Blacklisted album, but I was very disappointed when I saw Neko live. The billing was misleading - I expected her with her band, but it was just her and two other female singer/songwriters each taking turns playing acoustic songs, mostly covers. Neko only played 2 of her originals. The way that they giggled and in-joked amongst themselves on stage gave me the distinct impression that they were performing for their own amusement rather than the audience's. So maybe she's better with a real band, but I was disappointed by what I saw. |

Saw her on Austin City Limits not long ago (same episode as Rosanne Cash) and was severely underwhelmed. This sounds good, though. I guess some people are just studio-dependent? Curious to know if others have seen her perform well live -- maybe she was just having an off night ...
