Shhhh.... Don't tell everybody about Gruene dude. It's too crowded the way it is. Just keep it between friends...
And Raul is a wayyyy smoother crooner than Dwight and I like them both. |

I like this song pretty well (6.5-7: see pyro, below), but DY it's not.
Agreed! I would also dig a "theme set" from the three generations of Hanks...Sr. Jr. and III. |

This is a great shuffle beat, laid back song. Great horns and I really enjoy the feel...Los Lobos meets Roy Orbison....

The singer kind-of reminds me of a low-rent Chris Issak -- I agree with you; not bad, kinda cheesy. |

Yaaaaay! This is such an awesome album that totally brought them off the pure-country of "There Goes My Heart" and into this genre-bending genius.
Rough that Raul Malo needed to leave them to do his own thing.

I agree 100%. I heard them first through country radio back when I was a teenager, and they've continued to be a favorite of mine long after I've grown out of the country phase. |

What a great set of music! Just when I think its a sublime, easy going Saturday morning (Toad the Wet Sprocket) it gets better with Wilco, and then the Mavericks pick it up some more. Sweeeet!
Maybe I could get some "Los Super Seven" on here with Raul Malo and the "El Burro" song....

What do you think?
