I think we got the idea that you don't like this song after the 2nd "hate" and we aren't hard of hearing so you don't have to shout.

my dad's got this album, hearing these always takes me back.....my rating's upgraded on account of personal significance (a trumpet smiley is sorely needed here!)

Would love to see Maverick's hard-rockin "I Want to Know" on RP, too. Noticed over on the LRC that it's been rejected previously... Any precedent for moribund offerings gettin a second chance?

I saw these guys in Miami, before they were signed, in a rock club - the first two songs the audience was "WTF?!?" After that, they killed. Great musicians, terrific voice, awesome show.

(And I still got their demo tape)

Fun. Lots of energy. And, yeah, there's some Roy Orbison in there, for sure. Makes me dance in my chair.

The horns sound like The Pretenders' "Back on the Chain Gang."

They have sort of had parallel careers and sounds. Both use songwriter Kostas quite a bit, too, tho this one was written by Raul Malo.

Line dancing in my office as this plays. Raul Malo could sing the ingredient list on a box of salt and make it swing. His voice gives me really nice tingles all over.

Can't go wrong with the Mavericks. Especially such an upbeat, horn-heavy number like this.
