You have to give props to anyone who has to throw away their accordian so they can get away from the police.

What kind of anarchy does BC have to allow vandals to be walking around with accordians?

what are the mosh-pits in Vancouver like? more like polka-pit

cool - Two stepping in a mosh-pit - I dig it

I like the song-

Her voice reminds me of when I pinch my throat and wiggle up and down to do my Stevie Nicks impersonation.

Picked up the CD because of this song and "The Littlest Birds". Haven't had a real chance to check out the rest yet.

What the verses may lack is more than made up for with the beat, acoustic guitar and the chorus, IMHO

Got RP cranked, and it works...

They sure do!

I'm anti-BGT myself but the ability to be actively involved in music debate is one of the things I love about Radio Paradise the most.

This is actually a cover of the song originally written by accordian player Geoff Berner. I really like the way the Tanyas play it though. Geoff has a cool song called Maginot Line that is worth checking out.

Berner's live version of this song is superior. His pace and his voicing is bang on, and I think the accordian is much more suited to the drunken wanderings of this song than the frenetic pace that the Tanya's chose.

The 'sitting on the washing-machine' comment makes me laugh.

Oh, I dunno. People with broader tastes than your own, maybe? Or perhaps just different taste?

But you can count me in as "one of those people" that like this...

Oh I love The Be Good Tanyas - and I'm still mad that I missed them yesterday at wakarusa with The Wood Brothers, and Little Feat! By the time I thought of it, the airplane tickets were too expensive.

Was anybody lucky enough to be there?

Well, this brought an otherwise great set of music to a teeth grinding halt.
