And you're leading me down to the place by the sea
I hear your soft voice calling to me
Making a date for later by phone
if you're alone I'll come home

Ah, yessss

I wonder what the idea was behind this song. It's just such a radical departure from the rest of their stuff. I kinda like it, but have always wondered...

This is a great Floyd song. I'll put this on or The Nile Song... people never guess Floyd.

Who cares if the song doesn't go with anything else on the Meddle album (or anything else Floyd did). I think it's a lot of fun.

I like to play that guessing game too. Sure doesn't SOUND like Floyd.

Nice comping. I wouldn't rate it very highly because this song shows the weakness of the vocalist too plainly.

Emotionless void. For me at least. No feelings at all. Positive nor negative. This will probably my reference song for a 5 score. Is there an echo in here?

Great Tune. I haven't heard this in (many) years.

Couldn't listen to the whole album though. It always made me feel scared.
Freaked out may be an adequate description. 8-<

The mental images this song created for me were quite strong, but an actual trip to St. Tropez was a bit of a let-down compared to Pink Floyd's imagery.

Okay, I have a confession to make...I've always hated this song. I like most PF songs, but this one just gets on my nerves. Oh well, you can't win them all.

There's certainly a love affair with Meddle on this station. Echoes, Fearless, and now San Tropez. Can't complain.

"She called it Mello Yellow..."

Always one of my favorite obscure Floyd tunes. Definitely a different Floyd from Piper and Ummagumma as well as Wall and after. That's something I always loved about the band. Thanks, RP!

There's something about the way this song sits in the middle of Meddle that messes with the brain. That's the great thing about Pink Floyd: they can screw with your head just by playing the simplest sort of song.

Never heard this before. I graduated from high school in 1970. Maybe I was out of the country at the time.

Whenever I play this song at home, people are shocked to find out that it's Pink Floyd. Great blast from the past.
