Bill, you have a scary gift. To go from Tori's Winter to Damien's Delicate. That was so good.

I love this song. Yes, it's simple but it's so haunting and just beautiful.

What a fantastic set. I was going to put this under the Angeles page, but then Delicate started playing. Wonder what will play next..

I got this CD from the library, and listened to it several times over a week or so. It's pretty, and melancholy, but his lyrics are pretty simplistic and sing-song-y. I started out liking it, but it faded fast...

a fine bit of folk pop craftmanship. A decent album.

The lyrics have beauty . . . the singing does not. Would like to have the song covered by any of several other singers. The singing was so irritating that I had to rate the song 1.

I bought this album on a whim last fall. Before he finished singing the first verse of this song, I knew it was the best impulse music purchase I'd ever made. I have yet to decide otherwise.
I still listen to this album at some point every few days, and it remains one of the best in my vast collection. I am only disappointed I wasn't exposed to him when he first made this record. But then, being American does suck when it comes to accessing music from the UK.

This guy's stuff just flat doesn't appeal to me, but I respect him. He's a skilled musician, and he's writing songs he wants to hear instead of following someone's marketing advice.
