I totally agree. I love Mr. Matthews, but what's the deal with this overly dramatic, creepy song? Hate it. . . HATE IT! He sounds so pathetic, which I suppose is capturing the essence of the one speaking to the grave digger, but who wants to listen to that? |

A pretty good song, but it is being driven into the ground on this station. Give it a rest.

If there's one musician who gets WAY too much play time on RP it's D. Matthews and frankly, this is one of the worst of his. Move on, RP... remember, you're not like other radio stations!

Is there some reason this is getting airplay every day? I'd expect it from commercial radio, not this one.

Another great song about grave digging...like J-Lo songs about "keepin' it real"....I never get sick of 'em.

Incredible song. i saw Dave perform gravedigger solo/acoustic last year in Seattle. he, as always, blew my socks off! keep playing Dave...especially the less known (i.e. the songs not heard over and over on the big radio stations). would love to hear "seek up," "the stone," "all along the watchtower," and "two step."
BRAVO!!!!

You're not the only one, but I enjoy the sound of his voice. Bob Dylan can't/couldn't sing either but that doesn't stop people from enjoying his music.

UGH!
Antidepressant cocktails, for all!
How about something fun like...Squirrel Nut Zippers or Barenaked Ladies?
Thanks Bill!

Amazing! Intense performance. Love the weight of this song.
Bill, Gravedigger really isn't Dave Matthews Band - just Dave Matthews..
Not being picky or anything - but it's a solo Dave CD.
Trey Anastasio from Phish plays lead guitar on this one.

I love Dave, but I really don't know about this song... it almost sounds like he is singing out of tune at times. It is even darker then the original Lilly White takes.
Also, the ring around the rosey part? Huh? How uplifting; references to the black plague.

I like the concept of this song but the Ring Around The Rosey part lost me. The idea might work if someone like Richard Thompson composed it.
