On a plane last month flying back from Europe to USA, they had "The Best of Joy Division/New Order" as one of the few music selections.  This song was one of them and it made the flight oh so much better.......

Lots of noise, but fun high velocity noise. If you can't dance to this, you must be dead.

I, too, took a date to see this. Old southern, conservative boy - teeheehee -that was fun.
We've been married 23 years - he's still old, southern conservative - I'm not. It works. Checks and balances. And he still likes seeing alternative (?) movies with me.

The proper version circa 1982 really is far superior that is what I am rating. Not about being some kind of purist or snobby. Simply the facts, isay this because I think the RP crowd would agree if they had the opportunity to compare!

I can't agree more! I love the original version from "Factus 8."

the original 12" is light years better than this. the original = 9 to 10.

Always liked this song.  Sounds like they replaced their guitar strings with rubber bands.  The rest of this soundtrack is fantastic.

Original 12" version is much more powerful. Would be a 9.

What a soundtrack!  I never knew who Brian Eno was before this CD.  Since then I have bought most of his prodigous ambient output.

Great song!!

We used to dance and rock out to this song at Buffalo State College during the mid-1980s while listening to WBNY.
