Didn't Creem do a cover of this tune? If I remember rightly, that version creeped me the f*** out.

For sure! Like, whose leg is that on the left? Is that Donovan's leg in some weird contorted body position? Or, is there another anonymous naked person in the scene? And why does he look like he just did something bad? Weeeeeird!

Is it? Not that it changes my opinion. I don't like him eyeball-raping me.

I could be wrong, but I believe Jimmy Page & John Bonham provide some accompaniment on this record. John Paul Jones, too maybe? Any confirmation?

Well, uh, this is the original version by the guy who wrote it, so that makes it sort of, um, a classic version.

I hope Bill plays the Richard Thompson version, I bet it's good too.

Donovan Does Heavy Metal - Sort Of.

I like this song a lot, for no reason I can figure out. Too many parties in my ill-spent youth, I imagine!

This song is used over the end credits of the Nichol Kidman film "To Die For." That was the first time I heard it, and I loved it instantly. Great flick, too.

My wife loved that movie.

Jimmy Page played on the Sunshine Superman album, that this song came from, and that's probably him playing the lead.

Most of Donovan's stuff sounds kinda cheesy and dated, but I love it anyway!

Groovy psych-out number, one that celebrates the seasonings any good witch must have in her kitchen to flavor her ramen noodles.
