Hmm... nah it's good but 7 or 8 is good too.  9 huh???  Maybe if it was Patti Smith doing the Stooges "I Wanna be your Dog" =)

Or Emilie Simon doing same.  You feel like you need to clean your ears after listening to that one...

One of the best albums (at least for me) can still listen to it after 20 years...wow.

Interesting.
And also interesting that you hail from California; in Great Britain that album that you prefer was utterly disliked, and is considered one of the greatest disasters in rock'n'roll history, always mentioned on the flop lists.

Ya know:  I'm with the Brits on this.

thought until now - admittedly - that he was saying "I wanna be a dog" - now I know.
I'll have to enter that in the book called "he's got the whole world in his pants..."

Like many great bands, legal and contract issues kept them from making more albums for several years.  They never managed to recapture the magic of this album and eventually broke up.  It's really sad too, with as good as this album is they could have went on to have fantastic careers if they hadn't buckled under the weight of the increasing popularity of British Indie rock.

That is definitely too bad, but I am glad to hear it wasn't substance abuse issues... for some reason that's what I was thinking, but I may be confusing them with other bands.

Looking thru the comments I see it's occured to others as well! Actually there are some sonic similarities between the two.

Holy crap, I always thought that's what he's saying!  It wasn't until I just say the title of the song, that I realized he's saying 'adored.'  And, yea, probably because Iggy planted that phrase in my brain so many years before.

Great opening song...I thought it was "I Wanna Be a Dog" until I read the liner notes.  My fav song is "This is the One"

Good stuff... I hear allot of Fleetwood Mac in this cut...drums and harmonies could have
been done by F.M. The song that comes to mind is "Bare Trees".

Bah do dah, do dah da do da do
Bah do dah, do dah da do da do
Bah do dah, do dah da do da do
Bah do dah, do dah da do da do
* (add two gallons of gin and repeat infinitely

From: Bare Trees,   Fleetwood Mac
Of Note: Bare Trees is a pre Buckingham-Nicks Mac album
