Jeff Beck never ceases to amaze me in the ways he has continued to evolve over the decades. I first became "aware" with Blow By Blow, and though there have been peaks and valleys (at least to my tastes), he's never been afraid to re-invent himself every so often.
you better hope Chardremains doesn't read this - she thinks she's the ArbiterofGoodTaste or someone like that - I got flamed for being semi-profane while expressing my joy at hearing Jeff's rendition of "Pork Pie Hat" - LOL Woot! |

It takes a "real musician/guitar player" to incorparate the guitar into contemporary music in such a way, I think. It also proofs that old Blues can easily fit into the 21th century, without sounding outdated!

JB absolutely still ROCKS. Played the CD for my guitar-playing son and his reaction was "Whoa. He's how old?" Ha.

As usual, Jeff can turn a classic into something uniquely his own. If you haven't heard it, Muddy Waters' version is as good or even better thans this. IMHO of course.

Imogene Heap needs way more air-play than she gets.
