Jeff Beck never ceases to amaze me in the ways he has continued to evolve over the decades. I first became "aware" with Blow By Blow, and though there have been peaks and valleys (at least to my tastes), he's never been afraid to re-invent himself every so often.

you better hope Chardremains doesn't read this - she thinks she's the ArbiterofGoodTaste or someone like that - I got flamed for being semi-profane while expressing my joy at hearing Jeff's rendition of "Pork Pie Hat" - LOL Woot!

It takes a "real musician/guitar player" to incorparate the guitar into contemporary music in such a way, I think. It also proofs that old Blues can easily fit into the 21th century, without sounding outdated!

ah... was hoping I'd hear this here. Nobody plays like Jeff. And a fingerpicker, yet.

JB absolutely still ROCKS. Played the CD for my guitar-playing son and his reaction was "Whoa. He's how old?" Ha.

As usual, Jeff can turn a classic into something uniquely his own. If you haven't heard it, Muddy Waters' version is as good or even better thans this. IMHO of course.
