Saw Neko last night at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Her voice is amazing!

It's interesting, living in California, to hear of a venue that still allows smoking at all! Is there a town left in CA where you can smoke at a club? I happen to really like the lack of smoke - you don't smell like an astray when you get home.

yeah, in Austin most clubs are non-smoking now. You should have seen the ruckus the ordinance created! I hate to tell people what to do, but dang, I quit going to a lot of venues because the smoke was so bad! Now it's downright pleasant to sit in a dive bar and inhale the heady aroma of stale beer and pool chalk...

Great show at a great venue, The Temple.
No smoking at the request of the artist. She took time to explain it to the crowd…messes with the throat. No one complained.

Ah, she's just the greatest!
I've seen her live several times, at SouthPaw and at an amazing concert at an old public pool in Brooklyn they turned into a stage in summertime. Also saw her with the New Pornographers.

Her recordings are all amazing, but live...well, she just blows you away! She can rock, croon, and belt out a ballad like no other performer I've seen. This cut in particular is extremely haunting and moving heard live.

So glad she's getting airplay!

I'd love to hear her sing some of Hank Williams songs. She has that great 'Twang' in her voice for country music. I think she would do them great justice.

She does too, on the Canadian Amp album, for example, there's Alone and Forsaken ..and this is so good

See her live.

I saw her in Lawrence, KS 4/6/07. It was wonderful.

Crazy folks did a show on a overhead projector during the break that had the whole crowd involved.

She used to record and perform as "Neko Case and her Boyfriends" I seem to recall from her Canadian post-punk days.

I went to a Biscuit Burners show in Nov. 2006 that forbade smoking. I hope more singers require that at their shows because it does affect their ability to perform, it jeopardizes their career as well as their lives. As a non-smoker, I have been near tears in some clubs because its so crowded and poorly ventilated. I was stuck for the whole show because I had to write about it.Arrgh!
