Just kinda going nowhere...

You know, the Stone Roses may have been an egotistical bunch of twits with egos bigger than the Pennines who inspired a generation of mancunians to behave like idiots (particularly the bunch who once jumped at me outside a pub, shouting “why don’t you fook off back south, you fookin' fooker”, or words to that effect) whose crowning moment of glory happened in a field next to a chemical plant, but they did write some good songs...

I wish I were listening to this somewhere other than my desk at work. It's really annoying me, but it sounds like songs I supposedly like when I hear them in my car. So I'm going to put off voting.

this song just changed the whole atmosphere of my apartment. even my little plant is grooving. it may be repetitive, but i still don't want it to stop.

Summer 1992. Newport, RI. I worked in a TImberland store across the street from a Pub. We closed late on weekends, and there would be a line outside the bar. The only decent tape in the back room, next to the stereo that played Pachibel on a loop all frigging day, was the Stone Roses album. We would crank the long version of this song while we cleaned up, and by the time it was over, sometimes the line across the street would be dancing. They didn't even care we we got to cut the line...

I'm buzzed and that has made all the difference.
