Just replying to myself for some music trivia. I did manage to identify a sample, or maybe just an incredible coincidence. At any rate, it's not mentioned on the CD sleeve and I can't find any mention of it in Google. The guitar slide which accompanies the bass loop, sounds identical to the one from Leo Kottke's A Child Should Be a Fish at 2'40".
Not that anybody cares anyway, because everyone seems to hate this song just because all rap is bad by definition.

It's not a musical masterpiece like a lot of RPs music, but it just grooves so good.

This scares me.Remember when MTV was all about music?I would hate to see RP take this turn so young in it's life.IMO

Isn't that percussive wah-wah guitar sound a sample of Hendrix' intro to Voodoo Chile? If not than a played imitation of it.

Rather nice, mellow tune. I especially like the sound of the Jazzy drums and floating bass.

I really like this song, it's quite simple but it evokes a kind of a special 'atmosphere'. Yes, it's a kind of rap but it's way different from the commercial garbage that populates the charts nowadays. At least this song is original and isn't built upon samples of old hits, or rants about 'niggas' and gangsters.

Slightly less cliche than most rap/rock. I could use a lot less of this genre on RP.
