Didn't age so well. The lyrics for this and some of the others off this album were pretty laughably self-indulgent. "Artists got to be free mannn..."

I believe some of the negative comments come from those who maybe don't understand the blues. The really early, early blues. Just my opinion. John Mayall shows were amazing.

Not good this morning - this following Pete Townsend's "Let My Love Open The Door" a few songs ago means I'm out of here for a while. Hopefully things will pick up a bit later on... In the meantime I'm switching to Spotify to check out further some artists I've heard here.

Listen to Sonny Boy Williamson's "One Way Out".....John owes him big time for ripping off that song.
With that being said....John Mayall turned a N.J. suburbanite onto the blues(both British and American). Thanks John!

This is a very good album but this was never my favorite song from it.  And, Mayall had a lot of jazz influence in his music.  He introduced a lot of greats like Clapton to American audiences.  Also had Peter Green playing with his group.  His Blues Alone is a good one with one of my favorites of his, Broken Wing.

Seems like John Mayall doesn't connect today like he did when he was really popularizing alot of music that was being heard by most folks. The guitar rif in this tune is a classic. If you are a guitar player learning it and play as loud and fast as you can. You will feel good.

Ouch!!! But to all you purists who put this down for being kitchy and not 'really blues', well, I don't think that was the goal with this song (or this lineup)

Embarrasing, even. Sure ain't Satchmo, ok for white boy blues tho' perhaps a little contrived?
