Same here. I'm starting to dig alot of her songs. There's something about her voice that makes me feel relaxed and gets me horny both at the same time.

For some reason, I rarely like female singer-songwriter types, but I like this song.

I would love to see more detailed stats for each song (how many 1s, 2s, etc.). Same for members.

And if I am a sailor,
then you are the warm gulf wind,
and you've blown into this little port
and roused my dreams again.

Some of this reminds me of Liz Phair's Exile in Guyville sound. Anyone else?

Would someone do me a big favor and give this song another 10? I've reached my limit.

This is one of the catchiest songs that I would have never heard except for Radio Paradise. I love it!

Love this song, and Sarah Harmer. I have RP on in the background while I work, and when this one comes on - I always notice. Great lyrics, great voice.

If I had never found RP, I'd have not known about Sarah Harmer. Isn't it good to have your life changed for the better? Although that video sucks.

My first reaction hearing this was, "I must HAVE it." Now that I've read the entire board, and realized her earlier albums are superior, I have a profound understanding of RP's true value as a community. You guys rock, and I'm going out now to buy Sarah Harmer discs.

My song from this album. Maybe my favorite Sarah Harmer song overall. Saw her at the Birchmere in DC and she and her band really rock in person - much more energetic than you'd think from the albums.

For future reference, lyrics are widely available on the net. Just go to google and search a couple of key words (Almost Harmer lyrics). Voila.

I almost dialed your number,
When I thought the coast was clear
cause it's looked up for so long at me,
And said call me please.

But the place was closing,
the countergirl turned the sign,
the cooks were getting their coats
and I got mine,
and said goodnight to the sea of empty seats.

(Chorus)
And if I am a sailor,
then you are the warm gulf wind,
and you've blown into this little port
and roused my dreams again.

I see my mouth moving when I talk to you,
I do,
I see my lips and I feel like a kid
I can't keep something hid
Cause I've been under the paper you were writing on
you left your impression long after you'd gone
on me,
marks only I can see.

(Chorus)

When we say sometime later,
you know that we don't say when,
You have blown into this little port
and roused my dreams again.

I almost dialed your number,
When I thought the coast was clear
cause it's looked up for so long at me,
And said call me please.

(Chorus)

When we say sometime later,
you know that we don't say when,
You have blown into this little port
and roused my dreams again.
Roused my dreams.

Sailor to wind...

this is nice...still definitely her, but a bit of growth from "You Were Here" (which was kind of a sad downer breakup album).
